Findlay Creek Community Clean-Up Day (City of Ottawa Campaign)

🌿 Event Description Join the Ghanaian Community in Findlay Creek as we proudly participate in the City of Ottawa’s Cleaning the City Campaign—a collective effort to keep our neighbourhood clean, safe, and beautiful. This event combines wellness and community impact through our regular keep-fit walk followed by a park clean-up activity. 🚶🏾‍♂️ Keep-Fit Walk + Clean-Up Plan We kick off the day with our weekly keep-fit walk: 📍 Starting Point: FreshCo Car Park, Findlay Creek ⏰ Time: 8:30 AM From there, we will walk together to Kelly Farm Park (4008 Kelly Farm Drive), where we will begin the community clean-up at 9:00 AM. 👉 If you prefer to join only the clean-up, you are welcome to meet us directly at the park by 9:00 AM. 🧹 Clean-Up Support from the City of Ottawa The City will provide essential clean-up materials, including: 🗑️ Garbage Bags (heavy-duty / City-branded bags) 🧤 Nitrile Gloves (adult sizes) 🍂 Leaf & Yard Waste Bags (for organic waste where applicable) 📋 Safety Instructions & Guidelines To enhance efficiency, participants are encouraged to bring: Litter pickers / reacher grabbers / trash grabbers (if available) 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Community & Family-Friendly This is a family-friendly event, and we encourage everyone to come along with their children and loved ones.
